Jimmie has been a happy boy today. Very animated, smiling, talking... He is getting close to rolling from his back to his stomach!
He took his 6pm feed by mouth! 60mls of it. So Rachael only had to supplement him 15 mls. We have learned to just take everything a moment at a time with Jimmie and his feeds. So at this moment we are happy! (-: Who knows what the next feed may bring... So for now, YEAH!!!
Rachael talked with Jimmie's nutritionist today and she said it would be okay to switch to all breast milk and cut out those two formula feedings. She is still fortifying the breast milk, but that seems to be treating Jimmie's tummy much better!
Jimmie's appointment with Dr. S. is tomorrow. I'll let you know how that goes . . .
Thank you for your continued prayers in this battle . . .
Love,
Amber
Whoooooooohooooooooo! So happy for you all! Hope and pray that this continues!
ReplyDeleteYEA!!! We never stop praying (and taking it feed by feed).
ReplyDeleteWonderful, wonderful, wonderful news!!!
ALRIGHT! GO JIMMIE GO! that is awesome. i believe someone once posted a comment on here saying something like, 2 steps forward, 1 step back, 3 steps forward, 2 steps back...or something along those lines. Anyway, i am glad that this a step forward for Jimmie. I hope there are lots more in the days to follow and will be praying for NO STEPS BACK! love you!
ReplyDeleteYay Jimmie! And what a strong little guy. Pretty soon you'll have to be pulling him out from under all the furniture and putting baby gates up everywhere. Give him kisses and each other hugs from us!
ReplyDeleteLove you lots,
Adrian and Janelle
Great to hear that yesterday went well! Praying for more good days for little jimmie and for no steps back! NONE! ZERO! It almost sounds impossible that there would be no more of those bad days but PRAYERS ARE POWERFUL AND SO IS OUR GOD! Praying, praying and praying some more...

I have been following your blog as a result of having an update posted on Breath of Hope. My sone died of CDH in Febraury of 2008 and we now have a premature son (born at 32 weeks) who is almost 4 months (Born May 4). I feel very sorry for this reflux monster issue. Maybe I have missed a post, but have you tried changing the formula? My friend just had a newborn that has very bad reflux as well she changed the formula and got medicine and it got under control. I had my first daughter on Enfamil Nutramigin for uncomfortable issues. I dont know if this will help, but i am a litte confused as to why the doctors have not told you to try this. If I missed a post and you have tried this already I am sorry.
